Position: Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant

Location: Centurion, Gauteng

Position Purpose: To ensure the accurate processing of medicine claims according to client specifications.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience with capturing medicines in a DUR/PHB environment with 2-3 years previous working experience within a Managed Care environment (Essential).

Qualifications: Post Basic pharmacist Assistant. Registration with SAPC. Key Performance Areas

  • Provide Quality services to members and providers
  • All medicine queries completed timeously
  • Ensure all applications and request are captured timeously
  • Accurate Capturing of new prescription, acute and chronic medication or private claim
  • Correct handling of rejection within SOP and Formulary items and authorisations
  • Support management with tasks and initiatives beneficial to the sections and Schemes
  • Assist with tracking
  • Claims – submission codes, pricing and reference pricing
  • Scheme option and benefit design, scheme and funding rules
  • Outbound calling projects
  • To assist principal Pharmacist with clinical application and prescription reviewing
  • Chronic and Prescribed Minimum Benefit Authorisations
  • Provide Quality services to members and
  • All medicine queries completed
  • Ensure all applications and request are captured
  • Support management and other managers in tasks and initiatives beneficial to the sections and

  • Sound knowledge of the pharmacy/pharmaceutical industry
