The PHA IT System has been developed to provide PHA with market leading capabilities in the complex and changing medical scheme administration environment. This helps to accurately and efficiently deal with the high volumes of transactional data using best of breed and market leading technologies. These include Oracle and Java used by our IT shareholder and business partner 2Cana Solutions. We consider it to be a key competitive strength in our business.
Through 2Cana we have access to more than 20 years' experience in medical schemes managed care and administration design, development IP, and more than 140 Oracle and Java development resources. Further to this we also have access to program and project managers complemented by business analysts to deliver on any size of project.
The core of our system has been designed to be flexible, scalable, robust and reliable as well as efficient and cost effective with state of the art workflow processing. Adding to this, we can integrate easily to third party vendors and suppliers. This flexibility enables us to rapidly change and accommodate client requests as well as take on new business.
Flexibility - The system has been designed to successfully manage both traditional and new generation products with or without medical savings options. Due to our system and development skills combined with the flexible architecture of our Oracle database, it is possible for us to rapidly implement flexible, bespoke solutions that meet our clients' specific requirements - a truly boutique, client centric solution! Furthermore, due to our system design we can operate the system from any client site if required.
Scalability - Our system has been architected on industry leading and trusted technology that is able to accommodate new client growth within our existing clients, as well as new clients, without large-scale changes or investments needing to be made. Oracle is highly rated by Gartner and is one of the leaders in their magic quadrant.
Robust - Our system architecture was designed on international best practice and is annually audited by Deloitte as part of the scheme audits and as part of our internal control reviews.
Reliability - The system utilises tried and tested technologies to ensure that we continually deliver high standards of service with no unplanned down time. We run a state of the art network and server environment with full redundancy, disaster recovery, and information management. This is all linked to a state of the art business continuity environment as a back-up facility.
Business Intelligence - 2Cana further provides us with a dedicated Business Intelligence unit. This gives us the ability to do detailed analytical data management, as well as extensive reporting through our data warehouse to the relevant stakeholders, decision makers and clients.
